It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the Bahrain International Conference of Antimicrobial Resistance and Infectious Diseases. This conference is a crucial platform for healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to come together and discuss the latest advancements in the field of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.
At this event, we will have the opportunity to hear f rom leading experts in the field, engage in informative discussions and share knowledge and insights. The conference will be a great opportunity to network and collaborate with peers f rom around the world, with the aim to develop strategies and solutions to address these critical healthcare challenges.

Dr. Faryal Ali Khamis

She is a Senior Consultant and Head of Internal Medicine Subspecialities and Deputy of Directorate of Internal Medicine at the Royal Hospital in Muscat, Oman, where she Chairs both the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and the Infection Prevention and Control Committee. She is a member of a number of National Committees and task forces in the Ministry of Health, Oman.

Dr. Muna Almaslamani

Medical Director of Communicable Disease Center & Assistant Head of Infectious Diseases Division Medicine Department at Hamad General Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. She is a Senior Consultant in Transplant Infectious Diseases for the Division

Dr. Adel Al-Sayyad

Consultant public health, family medicine and epidemiology in ministry of Health-Bahrain (MOH). (Since 2006) Chief of Disease Control Section in MOH. (Since 2010) Leading the case investigation and contact tracing team for COVID 19 in MOH.

Dr. Nahid Kamal

Infectious diseases and internal medicine Consultant at BDF RMS (Bahrain Defense Force- Royal Medical Services). Head of Infection control department Graduated from Dubai Medical college in 2003, then joined BDF hospital Microbiology department

Dr. Mohamed Alawadhi

Works as a Public Health Doctor at The Public Health Directorate in the Ministry of Health. Mohamed works in disease surveillance, data analysis and epidemiological research in the Communicable Disease Section.
