It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 13th UN MSMEs Day 2025 Summit on “Supporting SMEs in the Digital Green Economy,” held with the valued support of the Government of Bahrain. Today, we gather with a shared vision—to empower small and medium enterprises as essential engines of sustainable and inclusive growth. This summit serves as a platform to champion the entrepreneurs and SMEs owners in leading the digital and green transition, and to explore ways to mobilize green finance and digital investments that enable SMEs to innovate, scale, and compete globally.

Throughout our sessions, we will focus on fostering collaboration among universities, SMEs, and industry to unlock new knowledge and solutions. We will also explore the critical role of digital tools and technologies in driving sustainable business growth and resilience. With coordinated ecosystem support, enhanced international networking, and constructive policy dialogue, we aim to create an enabling environment for SMEs to thrive in the digital green economy.
